This game is truly delightful. Because players are shown, by way of feedback, before each shot, the ball’s trajectory as that shot is currently limed up, playing comes easily & with a sense of great possibilities. Of course, the ball’s trajectory is only one of a great many variables that go into whether a shot is successful, so it’s some helpful positive feedback but just enough to provide a little guidance without being obtrusive or annoying in any way. This means that lining up almost every shot feels very promising, if only its potential is examined carefully enough before finally taking that shot. It’s difficult to articulate how this translates into feeling really engaged with the game, rather than just being a trigger for action that might correspond with the intended results but just as well might have totally unexpected consequences.
