Description
Play the most-funded game in Kickstarter history anywhere with the Exploding Kittens® Official mobile game! The mobile version of the game is available now, including the Party Pack, Betrayal, Streaking Kittens, and the all new Barking Kittens expansion! Play with friends or strangers in online play, challenge the AI, or play offline with friends face-to-face! In this highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette, players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are dead, and they are out of the game -- unless that player has a Defuse card, which can defuse the Kitten using things like laser pointers, belly rubs, and catnip sandwiches. All of the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens. KEY FEATURES: - Exploding Kittens is a multiplayer card game for people who are into kittens and explosions and laser beams and sometimes goats. - Play with 2 to 5 players across multiple phones in the same room, or online with friends or strangers - Featuring original art by The Oatmeal - New cards exclusive to the digital version of Exploding Kittens - Digital versions of the hit expansions, including Streaking and Barking Kittens, as well as digital exclusive Betrayal and Party decks - The digital version of the most backed game in Kickstarter history Created by Elan Lee (Xbox, ARGs), Matthew Inman (The Oatmeal), and Shane Small (Xbox, Marvel). Exploding Kittens is a paid app in which optional game features may be purchased with real money. You must be at least 13 years old to download and play. There is also an option to compete online against strangers and resulting data transfer charges may apply. Player usernames and expressions are their own. Absolutely love this game. I have the original card game along with the imploding kittens expansion and I love both that and the app and I feel the app captures the fun that the card game presents perfectly. However, the one thing I miss the most and I hope we get to see is the use of the ‘Nope’ cards as they are so fun to use in the card game and I would love to see them make their way into this fabulous app!!

This game has always been a bit temperamental when trying to play online. Often it will crash out at the start. However, recently it seems as though a host of new bugs have been introduced. A couple of examples. I’ve had cards getting stuck at the bottom of the screen and its not possible to play them; also, quite often im unable to take my turn and forced to quit. These bugs really need ironing out. As the title says, there is also the issue of the gameplay itself. This is a fun game to play when first starting out, but after playing for a while with the latest expansion, its becomes apparent how broken some of the mechanics are. The key problem is that if you have one bit of bad luck at the start of a game, your chances of being able to win are massively reduced. There needs to be a way of better allowing players to get back into the game instead of rage quitting. The “blind” card in particular really needs a rethink. Combined with “steal” cards, it ruins the start of games. Its too ...

I love this app. It is just as good as the physical card game, and that is really saying something. I have purchased the party pack and betrayal pack in the game and they both make really fun additions to the game. I also really like the extra cards they added to the core deck. There are just a few things I would change. First, the app doesn’t have “Nope” cards, and they are some of my favourite cards. Also, having the Imploding Kittens expansion pack I the game would be great. It has the second expansion in it, Streaking Kittens, but it doesn’t have Imploding Kittens. And one of the icons is a corn dog middle fingering, and the app says 9+. Other than those things, I would totally recommend this app, and if you buy it I hope you enjoy it.

The core gameplay is incredibly fun, especially with friends in the same room as you. The multiple decks add some new cards and alter the gameplay to an extent, but more decks would be much appreciated. This game is however lacking in an incentive to keep playing and doing well in online games. A level system or in-game currency system that would allow you to unlock exclusive customisable items that can't be purchased with real money. This would add more replay value as there would be an overall goal to reach. Even a win/ loss counter would be great. Overall, a very fun game, but needs more customisable items or a way to show others that you're an experienced player.

Pros: It’s a really fun card game! Like Uno but without the numbers but plus a ticking time-bombs in the midst. Really quick to pick up and play. Great for a high pressure game. Cons: I wouldn’t really say there is any major downsides. You can’t pass and play with friends, everyone would have to own the app to play locally. Also in game purchases pops up every time you’re about to go into a game (there is 1 pack to choose from but the others are behind a paywall, like some of the avatars as well). Don’t get me wrong, it’s a business and fully understandable why they do this but to get a new deck would cost you same price as the game
