Description
The Long Vowel Rocket Game is a phonics based game for older children who struggle with reading and may have dyslexia. This game will give the child practice in identifying long vowel sounds. Often, games at this phonics level are created for young children, this game is for those that are age 7+.
The child will identify the short vowel in a word that is called out, (s)he will blow up the asteroid with the corresponding long vowel sound. An alien spaceship will come along to try and destroy the player's ship, so (s)he better watch out!
This game is targeted for those who struggle to read or may have dyslexia. It corresponds to the reading program, Blast Off to Reading! However, it is not necessary to be using that particular program.
